Biography
The Supreme Assembly Social Order of the Beauceant 2025-2026 installation of officers will be held in Omaha, Nebraska on September 26, 2025. (Mrs. Darryl R.) Michele Burt will be installed as the 105th Supreme Worthy President and will preside over the 105th Supreme Assembly in Mesa, Arizona in September 2026.
She is the daughter of Sir Knight John and Velma Kleinfelder; the wife of Sir Knight Darryl R. Burt, and with him they have one son, Christopher Ethan Burt, who is a student at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Burt started her career in banking in 1993 where she was an Operations Supervisor before resigning in 2007 to become a stay-at-home mother. In 2020, she returned to work as a bookkeeper for a small business. In 2024, she became the Accounting Manager for an internet-based woman-owned playground supply business.
She was initiated into the Order on March 9, 2002 during Mrs. Buxton, PSWP official visit to Melrose Assembly No. 204. She presided in 2007 as Worthy President of Melrose Assembly No. 204. She was appointed as Supreme Assistant Marshall for her mother Mrs. John A. Kleinfelder, PSWP in 2008- 2009. She was elected as Supreme Treasurer in 2010 and served until 2021, when she was granted the title of Supreme Treasurer Emeritus. Mrs. Burt is also a Past Matron and 25-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She will continue to promote our chosen philanthropy, The Knights Templar Eye Foundation. She encourages each assembly to continue to collect dollar bills with the K, E, and F Federal Reserve District Seals and donations for $25 “Faith”, $50 “Loyalty”, $100 “Love” certificates, and to purchase a Cross and Crown brooch $250.
Mrs. Burt will travel the United States to visit each assembly. Her motto is Sisters Stand Together. “I am here to serve and assist our Assemblies in exemplifying our ritual and I am receptive to any calls for assistance,” Mrs. Burt says. She also encourages each assembly to assist and support our youth groups, “they are the future of York Rite Masonry.”
