Biography

(Mrs. Daniel) Erin Marr was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and now makes her home in Bellevue, Nebraska. She is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she pursued studies in biology, history, and business—reflecting her lifelong curiosity and balanced appreciation for both science and the humanities.

Erin and her husband, Daniel, have been married for fourteen years and share a warm and lively home filled with love and laughter. They are the proud parents of three children and one treasured grandson. The family also includes Ruby, a spirited basset hound who often keeps Erin company in her sewing room.

Creativity has always been a guiding thread in Erin’s life. Her passion for design and craftsmanship inspired her to start a small quilting business, where she transforms fabric into meaningful keepsakes. Whether piecing together intricate patterns or helping others choose colors and textures for a custom quilt, Erin finds joy in creating beauty and comfort that last.

She was initiated into Omaha Assembly number 91in 2014, and served as Worthy President in 2019.  She also served as Supreme Marshal in 2021-2022 before being elected as Supreme Preceptress in 2023.

Her motto “Choose to Shine” is a call to action for all members of the Social Order of the Beauceant.  Each of us, in every season of life, faces moments when the light dims a little. It is the weight of responsibility, the weariness of service, or simply the passage of time. But in those moments, we are reminded: the light we carry is not gone, it is waiting for us to choose to shine.
